Tony Gacek is the Director of Constituent Relations at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Prior to joining Pitt, Tony was involved in executive leadership in the nonprofit world for several years and has been involved with Habitat for Humanity in various capacities. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Washington, PA. Prior to returning home to western Pennsylvania in 2012, Tony was involved in residential construction and worked in the Metro D.C. area as an Executive Director and a Communications and Program Manager at the National Association of Home Builders and as a Project Manager and Production Supervisor for Ryan Homes. While in the Metro D.C. area, Tony served on the Board of Directors for the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County affiliate in Gaithersburg, MD. He was also an active construction volunteer for HFH-MC and he served on several of the affiliate’s committees. Tony earned his degree in Broadcast Journalism from Ohio University and started his professional career as a sports anchor, reporter and videographer for WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, WV.
